What data we collect and why

We collect the following types of personal data when you use our site, place an order, or get in touch:

Sometimes, we may also anonymise your data and use it for internal reporting, testing or improving our services. This type of data can’t identify you and is no longer considered personal data.

Our legal grounds for processing your data

We rely on the following legal bases under UK data protection law:

• Contract – when we need your info to provide our services (e.g. fulfilling your order)

• Legitimate interest – when it’s in our business interest and doesn’t override your rights (e.g. fraud prevention, customer support, marketing analysis)

• Consent – for optional things like sending promotional emails or using certain cookies (which you can opt in or out of)

• Legal obligation – when we’re required to retain data for things like tax or accounting

How long we keep your data

We only hold your data for as long as necessary. This depends on what it’s used for, but generally:

• Order information – kept for 6 years for tax and accounting purposes

• Enquiries and support chats – kept for up to 2 years

• Marketing preferences – kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your details

• Artwork/uploads – usually kept for 3 months after your order, unless you ask us to store it longer for reorders

If you want us to delete your data sooner, just ask.

Who we share your data with

We never sell your data. Ever. But we do work with trusted third-party providers to help us run our business. These include:

• Payment processors – to handle your transactions securely

• Delivery partners – to get your orders to you on time

• Marketing platforms – to send you updates (if you’ve opted in)

• IT service providers – who support our website and internal systems

These companies only have access to the data they need and must meet strict data protection requirements.

In the event of a merger, sale or restructure, your data may be transferred as part of the business… but it’ll still be protected under this policy, or you’ll be informed if anything changes.

International data transfers

Some of our service providers are based outside the UK or European Economic Area. When this happens, we make sure your data is protected by:

• Using providers in countries approved as having “adequate” protection

• Putting in place standard contractual clauses approved by the UK or EU

• Ensuring strict contractual obligations and safeguards

• Withdraw consent – for anything you’ve opted into

Automated decisions and profiling

We don’t make automated decisions that have a legal or significant impact on you. We may use limited profiling (e.g. showing you relevant products or offers), but it won’t affect your rights or freedoms.

CUSTOMER_AUTH	An indicator if you are currently logged into the store.
CUSTOMER_INFO	An encrypted version of the customer group you belong to.
CUSTOMER_SEGMENT_IDS	Stores the Customer Segment ID
EXTERNAL_NO_CACHE	A flag, which indicates whether caching is disabled or not.
FRONTEND	You sesssion ID on the server.
_GA	A Google cookie used to distinguish users
GUEST-VIEW	Allows guests to edit their orders.
LAST_CATEGORY	The last category you visited.
LAST_PRODUCT	The most recent product you have viewed.
NEWMESSAGE	Indicates whether a new message has been received.
NO_CACHE	Indicates whether it is allowed to use cache.
PERSISTENT_SHOPPING_CART	A link to information about your cart and viewing history if you have asked the site.
POLL	The ID of any polls you have recently voted in.
POLLN	Information on what polls you have voted on.
RECENTLYCOMPARED	The items that you have recently compared.
STF	Information on products you have emailed to friends.
STORE	The store view or language you have selected.
USER_ALLOWED_SAVE_COOKIE	Indicates whether a customer allowed to use cookies.
_UTM	A selection of Google cookies to track analytics information such as Visits/Sessions
VIEWED_PRODUCT_IDS	The products that you have recently viewed.
WISHLIST	An encrypted list of products added to your Wishlist.
WISHLIST_CNT	The number of items in your Wishlist.
